Finding Our Spiritual Gifts
Pastor Jim Mattison
What are spiritual gifts, and how do we get them?  Who has them?  How do we use them?  Pastor Jim
guides the study on the topic of spiritual gifts and how God expects us to use the gifts He has given us to
serve, bless, grow, and strengthen our fellowship of believers.

What exactly is the "Holy Spirit?"  Is the Holy Spirit a ghost or something mystical, and why is the Holy Spirit
important in a believer's life?

Spiritual Gifts: Complete Surrender
Pastor Wally Winner     E-mail Wally
Joy Fellowship Church of God of the Abrahamic Faith  Piedmont, South Carolina
Jesus left us with an important work to do, but he didn't leave us powerless to do it.  In this series, we are
focusing on who we are and what gifts we've been given to do his service.  We all have a part in the body of
Christ and must put our gifts to use for the good of the body.  As we begin learning about our gifts, our first
obligation is complete surrender.
Romans 12:1-3, 5
Spiritual Gifts: The Gift of Prophecy
Pastor Wally Winner     E-mail Wally
Joy Fellowship Church of God of the Abrahamic Faith  Piedmont, SC
Jesus left us with an important work to do, but he didn't leave us powerless to do it.  In this series, we are
focusing on who we are and what gifts we've been given to do his service.  We all have a part in the body of
Christ and must put our gifts to use for the good of the body.  In today's message, we look at the gift of
prophecy.   In the spiritual gift range, it is not predicting the future.  It is forth-telling.  It is the ability to declare
truth.  A person with this gift is a spokesman for God. Listen in, and learn the three characteristics and the
three liabilities of having this spiritual gift.
Romans 12:4-6

What is the spirit that directs you?  What is the spirit that is in you - that comes out of you?  In today's text,
we find different men directed by different spirits.  How will you choose to follow Jesus?  Will it be by the
world's standards - or God's?
Luke 9:46-62
How to Be Sealed with the Holy Spirit
Z.B. Duncan   11-18-1984
Do great signs and wonders mean it's the real thing?  Can you possess the gifts of the spirit without
hearing and believing the gospel?   To be a recipient of the holy spirit, one must first know and believe the
truth.  In today's study, we examine the emphasis that Jesus and his apostles put on the inspired word of
God through the preaching of the truth.
Holy Spirit Series - #6 - Led By the Spirit
Pastor Terry M. Ferrell   E-mail Terry
Greenville Church of God, 217 White Oak Road, Greenville, SC 29605
Many pray for leadership in our lives.  Historically, in the Bible, God gave direct leadership to his people.
But how are the children of God led now? Today, we have the written word of God as a basis for our life.
And by absorbing and applying the word of God, Jesus lives in us and through our lives.

Holy Spirit Series - #7 - The Spirit in Romans 8
Pastor Terry M. Ferrell   E-mail Terry
Greenville Church of God, 217 White Oak Road, Greenville, SC 29605
In this concluding message in the Holy Spirit study, we see what it means to walk after the new nature.  To
live after the spirit is to be spiritually minded.  Led by the word of God and its influence in our lives, we live
no longer as a slave, but as a son of our Heavenly Father.
Romans 8:12-17,26,27
Holy Spirit Series - #4 - Born of the Spirit
Pastor Terry M. Ferrell   E-mail Terry
Greenville Church of God, 217 White Oak Road, Greenville, SC 29605
When Nicodemus came to speak to Jesus in secret, he was told that he must be "born again" to enter the
kingdom of God.  But what's the difference between being "born" and "begotten?"  What does it mean to be
begotten of "water and spirit?"  When does it begin?  How does it begin?  Find out what Jesus revealed
about becoming a child of God.

Pastor Terry M. Ferrell   E-mail Terry
Greenville Church of God, 217 White Oak Road, Greenville, SC 29605
Continuing our study to research and examine what the Bible really teaches about the Holy Spirit, we look at
the nature, purpose, and duration of the gifts of the spirit.  What does the Bible say about the subject?  Many
confuse the source of the gifts with the gifts themselves.  How do we know?  How can we tell?
1 Corinthians 12:1-11, 28-31; Luke 11:13; Acts 2:38; 19:2; 1 Corinthians 14:4,13,14,19; Mark 16:20;

Pentecost
Pastor Michael Cisler    E-mail Michael
North Kent Bible Church   Rockford, Michigan
Three times a year all of the Jews were gathered to Jerusalem, drawing a huge crowd for these big events.
But at this particular Pentecost, everything was about to change.  A miracle was going to happen, and soon
everyone there would hear the gospel.

Holy Spirit Series - #2 - Baptism of the Holy Spirit
Pastor Terry M. Ferrell   E-mail Terry
Greenville Church of God, 217 White Oak Road, Greenville, SC 29605
Continuing our study to research and examine what the Bible really teaches about the Holy Spirit, we look
at "baptism of the Holy Spirit."  What was the baptism in Holy Spirit?   Why was it given?  Was it the only
baptism administered?  Are people now promised Holy Spirit baptism?  What about water baptism?  Find
out these answers today.

Holy Spirit Series #1 - The Holy Spirit
Pastor Terry M. Ferrell   E-mail Terry
Greenville Church of God, 217 White Oak Road, Greenville, SC 29605
In today's message, we begin a new study to research and examine what the Bible really teaches about the
Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit can be a confusing subject filled with a lot of misunderstandings and
misinformation.  What do the words "Holy Spirit" themselves mean?  How are the words used and
interpreted?  Can the Holy Spirit
of God also be God?  As we look closer, we find the Holy Spirit by which
God created is the same by which Mary conceived and by which God's word was given, recorded, confirmed,
and preserved.
Rom. 8:1-17; 2 Cor. 3:17,18; Heb. 2:3,4; 2 Peter 1; 2 Tim. 3:16; Acts 12; John 14; 16:13,14
